Stanley

A couple nights ago my mom dreamed that she lived in a castle and had a children's book called Stanley.  The book only used the letters from the word Stanley.  When she told me about this dream I took it as a challenge, and decided to write a story only using the letters S T A N L E Y.  This proved much more difficult than anticipated.  I felt like I was playing boggle as I tried to come up with different combinations for these letters.  It's hard!  This is what I came up with, but I'm sure there are people out there that can do better.  Good luck!

"Sly Sal steals.  Antsy Alley eats ants.  Tense Tanya Tattletales.  At least y'all stay neat!"

  1. Wow! I think the story you just told could itself be a children's book. Don't strain yourself - that is a hard kind of creating. Take what flowed out of you and make that into a published piece. It sounds like a game almost actually. What if it was a small time home made game or a toolkit for a game that you pulled together with this as the introduction and giving the children the opportunity to make their own words like choose your own adventure. I personally am no good at this type of word play, but I know children are vastly more full of poetential. :) Love from your blog friend in Tennessee. :)
